Jacob Ortwein

Lakota West - Senior
Swimming

Jacob led the Firebirds in scoring in Saturday’s 15 team Princeton Invitational swim meet. He had Wests’s two highest individual event finishes taking the silver in both the 200 yard individual medley and the 500 yard free style. He also earned points by scoring in two relay events.


Paige Striley

Lakota West - Sophomore
Swimming

Paige led the Firebirds to the championship of Saturday’s 12 team Princeton Invitational. She won two individual events, the 50 yard and 100 yard free style's and contributed to a team win in the 100 free relay. Her name goes into the Princeton tournament's record book for all three events. In four events combined she scored 58.5 points, which was more than the difference between West’s championship total and second place.


Emily Cupp

Middletown - Junior
Bowling

Emily is having a fantastic junior season. She is 4th in the GMC with a 180.9 average. Emily leads the team in: pins(4160), high game (223), and high series (412). This past weekend the Middies finished 7th in the Covington Catholic Classic, where Emily put up scores of 169 and a 183 to lead the team.


Johrdon Mumford

Middletown - Junior
Basketball

Johrdon and the Middies are on a 2 game winning streak! Johrdon had 12 points in the win over Sycamore, and then led all scorers with 18 points against Kings. He currently sits 12th in GMC in scoring with 11.8 points per game.


Josue Dawson

Princeton - Senior
Wrestling

Josue Dawson - SR- Wrestling . Josue was the 126 pound Champion at the Fairfield Invitational. He was also named the meet's Most Valuable Wrestler Award. At this time he is 19-0 and has 13 pins.


Sole William

Princeton - Freshman
Basketball

Last week Sole scored 29 points and had 8 steals in victories over Middletown and Colerain.


Reagan Asman

Oak Hills - Senior
Swimming

Reagan Asman was worked hard all year to be her best for the team. This weekend at the Princeton Invitational, Reagan post another set of personal bests and is set to do well for the team at GMC's and sectionals. She is a National Honor Society student-athlete with a 4.0 GPA.


Seth Helmes

Oak Hills - Sophomore
Swimming

Seth has become a key player on the swim and dive team. He continues to post improved times and takes on the toughest individual events, 200 IM and 500 Free. At the Princeton Invitational, he showed continued improvement and the team looks forward to seeing his performance in our GMC and Sectional competitions.


Chris Sheehan

Oak Hills - Sophomore
Wrestling

Chris came up big for the Highlanders this weekend. He had two very crucial pins to help lead the Highlanders to a 41-31 victory over Anderson and a 48-29 victory over Badin. Way to compete Chris!


Jaylah Herzog

Oak Hills - Senior
Basketball

Jaylah, a senior forward and team captain, had a career-high double double of 18 points and 22 rebounds to lead the Highlanders in a win over Winton Woods. She followed that up with an 11 point, 8 rebound, 3 steal effort in a GMC win over Hamilton, then added 8 points and 6 rebounds in an overtime loss at Lakota East while recovering from being sick. She averaged a double-double for the week, with 12 points and 12 rebounds. She is now fifth in the GMC in rebounds with 8.4 per game and third in steals averaging 2.9 per contest.


Zach Taphorn

Oak Hills - Junior
Bowling

Zach has been working hard to improve his game and has been a big part of the teams' success this season. In the last 8 games, he is nearly averaging 194. Outside of bowling, Zach was recently sworn into the Army National Guard.


Nathan Sexton

Oak Hills - Senior
Bowling

Nathan has been a big part of the boy's team success this season not only by his scores but also by his team leadership. Nathan is currently 7th in the GMC averaging 205.1 Nathan also finished 4th at Queen City Classic making the all-tournament team averaging 229.5 .


RJ Linenkugel

Oak Hills - Junior
Basketball

RJ recently contributed 10 points (3-3 from the field and 3-3 from the FT line) and 6 rebounds in a tough GMC loss against Princeton. RJ is a multi-sport athlete (soccer), volunteers for community service and has a 3.91 GPA.


Abbey McNally

Colerain - Sophomore
Basketball

Abbey is a leader on the floor by example and great communication. She is averaging a double-double with 13.8 points per game and 10.3 rebounds per game.


Jevon Tait

Colerain - Senior
Basketball

Jevon has led the team in scoring in a few of our games, he also has led us in offensive rebounding from the guard position. His relentless style of play is starting to pay big dividends for him and we expect his play to continue to improve as the year goes along.


Tara Witkowski

Lakota East - Senior
Swimming

Tara had a great weekend at the Princeton invitational placing first in the 200 IM and helping by combining with her teammates for a third place finish. Tara is one of our team leaders and always working to help the team achieve its goals.


Adam McDonald

Lakota East - Sophomore
Swimming

Adam had a great meet placing first in both the 200 IM and 100 Breaststroke at the Princeton invitational. His contribution combined with his teammates had the East boys place third in the meet. Adam is continuing to swim fast.


Nick Conti

Mason - Senior
Swimming

Nick is a 4-year varsity swimmer who has been a major contributor to the programs success over the years. Nick is a very coachable, hard working young man who has improved greatly every year. He is one of our senior leaders who leads more by example then through his voice!


Ashka Shah

Mason - Senior
Swimming

Ashka is a 4-year varsity swimmer who has shown tremendous leadership this season. She has worked behind the scenes to create a "team" atmosphere so that everyone feels apart of the "team culture". Ashka is a National Merit Semi-Finalist who will be attending Duke in the fall.


Katie Dashley

Fairfield - Sophomore
Bowling

“Katie has been on a tear recently. When the Lady Indians defeated a highly ranked Beavercreek, Katie rolled a 416 series including a personal best 246. When the Lady Indians defeated arch-rival Mercy-McAuley, Katie led the way with a 368 series. When the Lady Indians won the Baker Bash, Katie was the team anchor and made huge shot after huge shot in the knockout rounds. In the semi-finals against Seton, Katie had to roll 2 strikes and 7 pins in the 10th frame or the Lady Indians would have been knocked out. She went strike, strike, 8 count for the win. Katie is a leader, our cheerleader, our anchor and an awesome student.”

“Zavian led the Indians with 22 points, 3 assists and 2 rebounds on the road at Hamilton. His game-winning shot secured a big league victory over a strong GMC rival team.”
