Emily Cupp

Middletown - Sophomore
Bowling

Emily had another great week on the lanes last week helping her team secure 2 out of 3 match wins. On Monday, she threw very nice 211 game against Fenwick at Eastern Lanes, on Wednesday she shot games of 207 & 205 for a 206 average against Middletown Christian in the 1st ever Crosstown Shootout at home, and then on Thursday bowled an awesome 222 game against Lakota West at Gilmore Lanes! Emily is currently ranked #1 in the GMC for high average and #4 overall! Way to go Emily!


Keith Patterson

Lakota West - Junior
Bowling

Keith rolled both the low game and the low series scores for the Firebirds in both matches last week. On Wednesday he scored West’s highest series of the year, a 437, as well as the teams highest game of the year, a 258. He was also credited with the teams best game and series on Thursday versus Middletown.


Dominique Camp

Lakota West - Senior
Basketball

Dominique was credited with a 14 point/11 rebound Double-Double in Wednesday night’s win over Mason at the Mainstreet Arena. Camp was the Firebird’s leader in both scoring and rebounding as she recorded the team's first Double-Double of the year.


Matthew Minor

Middletown - Junior
Bowling

Matthew had one of his best week's of the season so far by rolling some very nice games in our 3 matches. On Monday, he bowled a 215 game against Fenwick at home, then on Wednesday shot a nice 211 against Middletown Christian, also at home, and finally on Thursday, tossed an amazing 246 game at Gilmore Lanes against Lakota West! Great job Matthew!


Austin Smith

Middletown - Junior
Bowling

Austin found his groove and tore up the lanes in a tournament and 3 different matches this past week. Starting on Sunday, Austin knocked out a 222 game in the Back 2 School Bash, on Monday he threw a very nice 231 game against Fenwick at home, on Wednesday shot an amazing 253 against Middletown Christian, also at home, and then on Thursday, bowled an awesome 225 game at Gilmore Lanes against Lakota West! Congrats Austin!


Ethan Rowe

Middletown - Sophomore
Bowling

Ethan started his week off right after shooting an amazing 268 game in the Back 2 School Bash on Sunday, missing the All-Tournament team by only 2 pins! Then on Wednesday against Middletown Christian, he ripped up the lanes at Eastern by shooting an incredible 279 game, and then followed that up with an awesome 242 game, for a very nice 521 series, which equates to a 260.5 average for the day! Ethan is currently ranked #4 in the overall games standings in the GMC! Way to go Ethan!


Leah Riley

Sycamore - Sophomore
Basketball

Leah had 14 Points, 3 Steals, and 2 Assists in a GMC win over Middletown!


Taylor Dorrington

Oak Hills - Senior
Swimming

Taylor is a senior who leads with compassion. She recently sponsored a group of team members to cook, serve, and aid at Cincinnati Ronald McDonald House. Her leadership goes beyond the pool and classroom.


Dy'Jhanik Armfield

Oak Hills - Junior
Basketball

The junior guard scored a season-high 25 points, including 3 of 5 from three point range, and grabbed 4 rebounds and had 4 steals in a 51-44 loss to the sixth-rated team in the state, Princeton. Armfield is currently third in the GMC with a 15.3 scoring average and leads the GMC in steals at 3.8 per game.


Jasmine Korte

Oak Hills - Senior
Bowling

Jasmine rolled a career-high series of 447 on January 9th to help the Lady Highlanders beat GMC rival Lakota East!


Cam Brandt

Oak Hills - Junior
Basketball

Cam scored 11 points, had 3 rebounds and 2 assists in Friday's victory over Princeton. Cam tutors elementary school among his many community service activities and is a multi-sport athlete.


Kayla Summerville

Fairfield - Senior
Basketball

“Kayla is one of the hardest working players we have. She’s a great shooter and a smart player. Last week she had 7 rebounds, 2 assists, 4 steals and 16 points. She is a fantastic leader of the team.”


Austin Vanoss

Fairfield - Senior
Bowling

“Austin rolled a series of 416 (215 & 201) in the Back-To-School Bash tournament and a 508 series (220 & 288) in the match against Northwest High School. Austin has proven himself as one of the leaders on this year’s bowling team. His current overall average is 206.1, currently holds the 2nd highest single game score of 288 and 5th highest series of 508 (2-game series) of any bowler in the GMC.”


Alex Mangold

Lakota East - Junior
Basketball

Alex has been an intergral part of the Thunderhawk varsity basketball program the past two years. He has made significant improvements each season to his game and helped the Hawks contend as one of the top teams in the conference. Alex is a strong rebounder, great defender and excellent three-point shooter. His contributions will be sorely missed the remainder of the season after suffering a leg injury against Oak Hills. We all wish him well as he recovers and prepares for his senior season.


Will Johnston

Lakota East - Senior
Basketball

Will is a two-year varsity player for Lakota East. His role this season as an excellent defender and outside shooting specialist has helped put his team in first place in the GMC. Will came off the bench Tuesday night to replace injured teammate, Alex Mangold, and provided the spark the Hawks needed for a big win over 1st place Oak Hills. In that game, Will poured in a career high 27 points that included six 3-point baskets, going 6-9 behind the arc


McKenzie Grau

Mason - Senior
Swimming

McKenzie has been one of Mason's top swimmers over the last few years. She has been a Regional Champion, State Finalist, and named high school All-American. A very hard worker & a pleasure to coach! Tremendous attitude as well. She will be attending Ohio University on a swimming scholarship next year.


Matthew Wagner

Mason - Senior
Swimming

Matthew is our top male diver! He was a state qualifier as a junior last year and is well on his way to qualifying to state this season. Matthew has improved greatly over his 4 years. Great attitude & always willing to improve! Excels in the classroom as well.
