Abby Prohaska

Lakota West - Senior
Basketball

Abby was the Firebirds lead scorer in two key Greater Miami Conference road wins this week. She was the game high scorer with 19 at Lakota East on Wednesday, and the leading Firebird scorer with 18 at Hamilton on Saturday. Her numbers this week boosted her into the GMC top five in scoring, rebounds, assists and steals.


Michael Lorenz

Lakota West - Sophomore
Swimming

Michael was the only Firebird double winner this week. His wins came in the 200 yard individual medley, and the 200 yard backstroke at the Lakota Quad meet against Lakota East, Mairiemont, and Maderia on Saturday. Lorenz was also a placer in the 100 yard breast stroke in a quad meet at Keating Natatorium on Wednesday.


Jacob Berkemeier

Oak Hills - Junior
Basketball

Jacob, a multi-sport athlete, scored 11 points, had 8 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 steals, and a blocked shot to help the Highlanders earn their first GMC victory of the season.


Chase Haehnle

Oak Hills - Senior
Wrestling

Chase recorded his 100th career win over the weekend at the Oak Hills duals. Haehnle went 4-1 on the day with 2 pins.


Rachael Moody

Oak Hills - Senior
Basketball

Rachael scored a season-high 14 points and dished out 3 assists for the Highlanders against Hamilton last week.


Max Hennessey

Oak Hills - Senior
Bowling

Max bowled a 793 in the Holiday Classic Tournament, placing #1 out of 150 bowlers


Aubriana Bellard

Middletown - Senior
Basketball

Had 14 pts, 4 rebs in a loss at Princeton; 10 pts, 4 rebs in 15 minutes in a win vs Colerain and 18 pts, 4 rebs, 3 assts and 3 stls and the game winning shot at the buzzer at Little Miami.


Aliyah Burks

Middletown - Senior
Basketball

Had 13 pts, 7 rebs, 9 stls and 2 assts in a win vs Colerain and 13 pts and 9 rebs in a win at Little Miami. During that game, she was named MVP (Mercy Health Tip-off Classic)


Samill Calhoun

Middletown - Sophomore
Basketball

Had 17 pts, 5 rebs and 2 assts in a loss at Princeton; 16 pts, 5 rebs, 5 stls in 16 minutes in a win vs Colerain and 11 pts (3-6 from 3 pt), 4 rebs, 3 stls, and 2 assts in a win at Little Miami.


CiCi Riggins

Hamilton - Junior
Basketball

Hamilton's CiCi Riggins continues to impress on the hardwood. Currently, she is averaging 21.2 points per game which leads the GMC. In addition, she is averaging 8.4 rebounds per game which is good for third in the conference. This past week, CiCi helped the Big Blue to a big win on the road by tossing in a career high 37 points. This total also tied the school record for points in a game for girls basketball.


Kara Herzog

Lakota East - Senior
Cheerleading

Kara is a cheers for both Varsity football and basketball cheer. Kara has stepped up this year and become a strong leader during both practices and games. She is a very positive role model for the JV and Freshman cheerleaders. She also worked this summer with both junior high cheer programs.


Weston Lindner

Lakota East - Senior
Chess

Weston has been a varsity member of the East Chess team for all four years, three of which were at Board number 1. This year Weston was awarded First Team GMC honors finishing with a 9-4-2 record. Weston was an amazing player and teammate and will be greatly missed next year.


Lexie Canova

Mason - Senior
Bowling

Lexie has been the team leader in all aspects. She’s cocaptain of the bowling team, Lexie encourages everyone to do their best and still have a lot of fun . Lexie has been leading the team in averages this year.


Evan Haas

Mason - Senior
Bowling

Evan has had several noteworthy matches this year and is leading the GMC in average. His most noteworthy event so far was a 774 tournament earlier this year. He bowled 279, 242, and 253 making him the individual boys leader at the tournament. Evan has signed a letter of intent to bowl for Wright State University.
